The Painting with Plotter Course is finally here!
Module 0 is online!
Hi,
It's late here in London, but it's still December the 15th (phew). I am thrilled to share that my free course, Painting with Plotters, is finally here!
Before diving into the course news, I want to thank you for signing up for this newsletter! You might have signed up through my website or social media, or given me your email during my participatory event at the V&A in Sep. I really appreciate your interest in my creative journey. In the next 6 months or so, I will primarily use this newsletter to communicate information related to the course.
Many of you might have found me because of my generative plotter paintings. For the past 5 years, plotters have, without a doubt, been my most important creative companions. Making paintings with plotters is such an addictive activity for me. It is also a niche that I constantly need to explain: what is it and how to do it. Whenever I explain, I feel that my explanations are never complete. I want to explain better, with more details, and in a more organized fashion. I wish I could show you more.
So, this course was born.
The production of such a project is quite challenging, especially because I constantly want to add new materials to the plan. Because this is my passion project, I feel like it might never end, which makes it really difficult to start as well. But, just like what I said in the first video, we have to start somewhere, right? Let's start now.
The course content for the 1st module (Module 0) is officially online! You can view the content on the module website, or directly jumping into the video on Youtube. The main course website has been updated, so the links and syllabus are up-to-date.
(I was holding Birdy, my smallest Axidraw, in this cover image :))
The first module is an introductory module that goes through the background and overview of the course. If you have any feedback or questions, please reach out on SNS, or submit a question using this Google Form. As I mentioned in the video, I've built a Q&A website for the course. You might find some answers if you have filled out my initial pre-course survey (THANKS!) and asked a question.
Enjoy the first module! I hope to see you again very soon.
Happy plotting!
Licia

Plotters caught my eye, and you are inspiring me to explore my creativity with them! I’m excited to go on this journey with you
Wowser Lucia - I've been watching your journey and am looking forward to this course. I'm an AxiDraw user too but I've never named mine. Birdy - that's a great name! cheers
